Open Water Training

Are you ready to embark on a new adventure? Before we get started, let's begin with a 20-minute orientation where we'll explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. If this is the adventure for you, we'll get you signed up. 

To begin the online training, click here - to access the first three chapters of the Open Water course on SSI's website. Make sure to select Virginia Scuba as your dive shop. Once you stop by the shop and sign up for training, you'll gain access to the rest of the online material. 

The training itself consists of two classroom sessions, a weekend in the pool, and a weekend of quarry dives locally (or four dives if we complete your training on a trip). As an SSI instructor, I'm centered around Virginia Scuba, and their schedule determines our pool work schedule. 

Open Water Pool sessions are held twice a month, every other weekend on Saturdays and Sundays. If you have any questions or want to request me as your instructor, feel free to contact me or call Virginia Scuba at 703-369-0098.
